The Story of Cevicheria

Cevicheria’s journey began in 2022 at Thessaloniki’s iconic Modiano Market, born from the dreams of two passionate foodies with a vision to introduce Nikkei cuisine to the city. The restaurant’s vibrant flavors, creative dishes, and welcoming atmosphere quickly captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. In no time, Cevicheria became the talk of the town, celebrated for its unique blend of Peruvian and Japanese culinary traditions.

The buzz didn’t stop there. The following summer, the team took Cevicheria on the road, opening a pop-up restaurant in Kallithea, Halkidiki. The overwhelming success of the pop-up made one thing clear: the demand for Cevicheria’s extraordinary experience was far greater than its original location could accommodate. Moreover, guests were looking for more than just incredible food—they craved entertainment, energy, and a space that could bring it all together.

In 2023, Cevicheria found its new home on vibrant Katouni Street. Along with the move came the opportunity to expand the team, bringing in individuals who offer a wealth of experience and fresh ideas. This not only provided a larger space to meet growing demand, but also elevated the dining experience with new innovations, live entertainment, guest DJs, and unforgettable events. Today, Cevicheria continues to carry the passion and creativity of its founders, serving bold flavors, creating memorable moments, and redefining what it means to dine in Thessaloniki.
