The selected individual for the Microbiology Laboratory Analyst position will be expected to:

• Conduct all required microbiological analyses in areas, raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished, intermediate, bulk, and finished products, following approved specifications and procedures.
• Perform reliability and calibration checks of laboratory instruments either prior to use or at predefined intervals.
• Handle reference strains: track expiry dates, ensure timely ordering, and maintain appropriate storage conditions.
•  Prepare, test, and maintain culture media, reagents, and disinfectants in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
• Cultivate test microorganisms as needed and dispose of them, along with culture media, after testing is completed, following biosafety procedures.
• Monitor and manage inventory of lab consumables to ensure uninterrupted operation
• Perform stability studies of products in accordance with established protocols.
• Participate in environmental monitoring, instrument performance checks, and other routine monitoring activities.
• Undertake additional responsibilities based on qualifications and departmental needs.
• Stay informed and participate in relevant training sessions aligned with technological and regulatory developments.
• Participate in internal audits and self-inspections to support continuous improvement.
• Conduct method suitability tests, disinfectant efficacy studies, and other related verifications.
• Perform microbiological method validations to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and regulatory compliance. This includes method suitability testing, microbial enumeration validation, and validation for specified organisms per Ph. Eur. guidelines.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the microbiology laboratory at all times.
• Follow hygiene and safety protocols; contribute to environmental protection initiatives.
• Stay current with scientific and technical advancements to enhance laboratory methodologies.
• Work closely with personnel from other departments to ensure the smooth operation of quality processes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all laboratory and company-related information.

The ideal candidate for the Microbiology Laboratory Analyst position will be an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical sector with the desire to grow in an innovative and dynamic organization and must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is preferred. 
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges in a pharmaceutical context.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
