Are you an experienced Buyer with a strong background in technology procurement?

Join one of the largest and most prestigious Greek banks and contribute to its evolving technological landscape by managing strategic procurement initiatives in IT and technology services.

As a Technology Buyer, your responsibilities will be:

  • Contributing to medium-term planning for technology procurement to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products at competitive pricing.
  • Managing high-value and business-critical RFx processes, in close collaboration with other Technology Buyers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Reviewing supplier bids and evaluating offers based on quality, reputation, pricing, and performance history.
  • Leading and supporting contractual negotiations with top-tier technology providers (e.g., IBM, Microsoft, HPE).
  • Coordinating with Operations Buyers for the generation and execution of Purchase Orders.
  • Acting as Supplier Relationship Manager for key accounts within the technology procurement category.
  • Conducting market research to identify new suppliers and product trends, aiming at cost optimization and innovation.
  • Ensuring procurement activities meet the Bank’s standards for quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

The ideal candidate for the position of Technology Buyer will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in banking or large corporate environments, with a focus on procurement or project management.
  • Proven experience in managing complex negotiations with high-profile technology vendors.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control procedures, and procurement compliance.
  • Strong business analysis and project management skills; a Project Management certification is a strong plus.
  • IFPSM/CIPS certification (preferred).
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Deep knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A mindset for continuous improvement, and readiness to challenge conventional practices.
