R & D Electrical Engineer (Δράμα)

R&D Electrical Engineer in Drama, Greece

Responsible for designing electrical components and systems in compliance with international standards, with a focus on computer-assisted electric transient simulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform computer-assisted transient simulations of LV and MV systems and networks.
• Support the Sales Department during concept development and tender phases for new products and applications.
• Conduct electrical testing of components and products.
• Understand and apply high-voltage testing methods and measurement systems.
• Prepare product technical documentation, including operation manuals and electrical diagrams.
• Serve as the technical point of contact by providing engineering information and responding to inquiries.
• Contribute to team success by achieving related goals as needed.

Required academic background, knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (Polytechnic School) in Electrical Power Engineering (M.Sc. degree is a plus).
• 1–3 years of experience with LV and MV electrical energy systems and installations.
• Proficiency in transient simulation software (e.g., ATP-EMTP, EMTP-RV, PSCAD, PowerFactory).
• Experience with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Previous experience in the power, energy, defense, industrial automation, or control industries; experience with surge protective devices and/or surge arresters is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).
