The role of the night auditor is responsible for the safety and security of guests, staff and the building itself. He/she is required to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
In addition to ensuring the safety of guests, he/she is also responsible for overseeing the night audit process, which includes balancing financial transactions and generating reports.
He/she may also be required to handle guest complaints and requests during the night shift.
Specifically:
- Reports to Front Office Manager
- Check in and check out guests, answer phones
- Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
- Balance the cash drawer and log receipts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Help prepare for forecasts and audits for HOD's
